This is the infamous "Kaptain Kinsella"

Flint trips were a lot of work in the early 80's. Sometimes a watermelon break was the only solution.

That's not a birth mark between Larry's eyes. That's a watermelon seed screaming through
the air toward the camera. This was taken on a flint trip to Southern Illinois in the mid '80's. Larry and his buddies used to take along an ice-filled cooler with a watermelon in it and bust open the melon after
a long day of collecting flint. Ah, those were the good ole days.

DUCK!! BRAD

BEER BELLY BLUES
Can you tell if Larry's shirt is too small or if his belly's too big?
This picture was taken during the stockade construction around the Cahokia pit house in 1983. Larry is using a large rock to drive home the lintel which will accept the hinge on the 400 lb. gates for the stockade. All construction was done with stone tools only.
